Dakota's team is inspired by our daughter, Dakota. She was diagnosed at 3 months old with Von Willebrand's Disease type 2A after several bleeding events including a spontaneous nosebleed that required hospitalization. At 2 years old, we have already witnessed the incredible bleeding disorder community in southwest Ohio and have benefited greatly from their support. It is our goal to support them through awareness and as much fundraising as we can. As a family who knew nothing about bleeding disorders prior to Dakota's diagnosis, we have learned knowledge is power and by raising awareness we can empower the community and future generations.
